Rhiannon is an award-winning singing teacher (Wales’ Singing Instructor of the Year 2025/26) with over 17 years classical training.

She holds a First Class Honours degree in Vocal and Operatic Studies from one of the UK’s top music conservatoires, The Royal Northern College of Music.

Rhiannon furthered her studies in Italy at Conservatorio Rossini, with Pavarotti’s vocal coach Maestro Ubaldo Fabbri.

She then trained at Wales International Academy of Voice.

Rhiannon believes that the classical method offers a safe, healthy and flexible foundation, which can then be tweaked depending on the singer’s long term goals.

Rhiannon tends to teach students ages 12+.

Over the years she has found that that – alongside a progression into more proficient vocalists and musicians – students have benefitted from:

  • Connecting body and mind, tapping into the body’s primal wisdom for better quality breathing, vocalising, posture and sense of wellbeing
  • The growth of inner confidence, as trust in the voice develops
  • Enhanced social skills
  • Easier connection with innate creativity and body intuition
  • A promoted sense of agency

Rhiannon’s philosophy is to achieve vocal mastery by building a relationship with the voice,  rather than aiming to conquer and control singing.

Rhiannon’s singing lessons are for all ages and all levels, but over the years Rhiannon has found that her teaching methods are most effect for those aged 12+.

Initially, it’s best to bring songs that you’d like to work on to your lessons, with the option of broadening your horizons with new repertoire later on.

Rhiannon is passionate about teaching her students a robust singing technique, while keeping the natural love of singing in tact.  During lessons, you will learn how to build a strong, healthy and musical sound, learning to embrace the whole body as your instrument.

Basic Piano and Music Theory

Upon request, Rhiannon is more than happy to cover basic music theory and piano during lessons – depending on your personal goals, these can be very useful tools for long term progress.

If you’re interested in classical singing, Rhiannon will touch on foreign languages and pronunciation, too.

Performance skills and song interpretation will also be covered during lessons, including a plethora of tips and techniques to enhance stage presence, keeping you calm, expressive and enjoying the moment during each performance.
